FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar Date Changed

Hosts Qatar will now make their World Cup debut against Ecuador at 1900 local time after an opening ceremony on 20 November 2022. The FIFA World Cup 2022  will start one day prior than its schedule.


Officially Confirmation reschedule of FIFA World Cup 2022

One of the governing body of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced the news on Thursday (August 11, 2022). Following a unanimous decision by the FIFA Council Bureau, that the tournament will now start on November 20 instead of November 21. A committee comprising the heads of FIFA's six regional confederations and president Gianni Infantino signed off on the plan.


When and where will the Opening ceremony conducted?

Generally the opening ceremony held before the kick-off of the first match of the mega event. Opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2022 will be conducted at Al Bayt Stadium which has the 60,000 seat capacity. The change is Correspondingly with the long-established tradition of opening matches involving hosts or holders. Senegal's Group A match with Netherlands rescheduled at 1900 local time on 21 November 2022. Which is originally preset as mega event opener at 1300 local time on 21 November 2022.


What should ticket holders do?

Ticket holders will properly informed by email that the time of the relevant matches of FIFA World Cup 2022 have changed and the validation of their tickets will remain unchanged of the new date/time. Middle East organized FIFA World Cup for the first time.


The Qatar World Cup will played with 32 teams divided in to eight groups. Each group contains four team.
